Yes — all services are by appointment only. You can book online, call (780) 920-8532 or email info@xpressnotary.ca. After-hours, weekend and short-notice appointments are available.
What should I bring to my appointment?
Please bring two valid pieces of government-issued identification. If you require certified true copies, bring the original document along with the exact number of copies you wish to have certified.
How much does notarization cost?
Notarization is $75 + GST for the first notarization and $30 + GST for each additional notarization. An additional $10 applies for verifying and signing a photograph, signing an exhibit, or a witness signature, if required. Rates are a general guideline and may be higher depending on the nature, complexity or urgency of your matter.
Do you offer mobile notary services?
Yes. We can travel to your residence or preferred location. Mobile service is $150 within 10 km of our downtown location, or $250 for locations between 10 km and 30 km — both include 3 notarizations.
What payment methods do you accept?
Cash or e-transfer only for appointments. Online documents are paid by card at checkout.
Do you provide legal advice?
No. Our notary public is an active member of the Law Society of Alberta with a strong legal background, which supports a diligent, detail-oriented approach to notarization — but we do not provide legal advice.
Can you notarize documents for use outside Canada?
Yes. We notarize documents for use abroad and can help you through getting an apostille. We don't issue apostilles ourselves: since Canada joined The Hague Apostille Convention in January 2024, documents notarized in Alberta are apostilled by the Government of Alberta (Official Documents and Appointments). The apostille confirms the notary's signature and authority so the document can be accepted in other member countries without further legalization.
